NOTICE: Register mobile phone numbers as sender identificator
New security rules won't allow to use mobile phone numbers (reference/senders) as SMS sender  identifications. These numbers must be registered. The registration is unique per individual mobile phone number. You must have your mobile phone switched on during the registration.

Authorize originator

Go with the key "Buy SMS credits" (also under menu "Help") on the ASPSMS web page. Press "Authorize Originator" and proceed as follows:
Step 1:
Give the mobile phone number (please international number format 00417912345678. Do not use '+' but always '00' before your country code) in the first input field "Originator" under "Request Unlock-Code" and press "Request".
Step 2:
Now a SMS should have arrived with the title "UNLOCK code" on your mobile phone. In the second field under "step 2" put this code in the appropiate field and press "unlock".
A success message should appear. For support requests: please at  support@aspsms.com or at  support@alphaobjects.ch

1. Can I pay only by credit card? Can't I pay with a mobile phone subscription?
You can pay by direct wire transfer or by means of Postcard. A postal cheque is also possible. Ask informations at http://www.aspsms.com about the different possibilities.

2. My SMS does not arrive, although these are indicated in the list of the sent SMS.
Usually a problem is present with the telephone number format. Make sure that all mobile phone numbers came cwith the international preselection (e.g.) +41.. or +49... or 0041.. respectively. 0049.. Also you must watch out for the characteristic of Outlook to  leave the mobile phone net preselection with the "0" after the land preselection. This is a bug of Microsoft Outlook due to the US preseselction standards that have no "0" (...as the rest of the world). Consider this during the input of  telephone numbers with the Outlook contacts that you rather enter the land preselection, as leave this be done by Outlook. Version 2.1 starting from subversion 205 has solved this problem.

3. I sent a SMS and it took me 1,75 or 2,75 credits. How is that possible?
Why isn't 1 SMS = 1 credit?

1 SMS credit does not mean always a SMS message. Some times hogher fees are required for  for large SMS (EMS). Each 160 and/or. 153 charachters 1 credit is needed at least. Special termination fees one some networks are also applied. The virtual unit of the "credits" was therefore introduced, in order to be able to number these different prices. The current prices and necessary credit can experience you under http://www.aspsms.com . @SMS uses one of the best SMS-Gateway. This gateway has up to 50% higher rates that some other gateways. Otherwise the quality of delivery is quiet 100%. This is for us the most important argument.

4. I opened a second SMS account. I tried to buy sms but the login e-Mail was not valid and I filled out y new form on the SMS-gateway site. Now the SMS credits which I bought does not appear at all.
You possibly entered an E-Mail address already used with a former activation of @SMS or ASPSMS. The Gateway provider website is unfortunately in a way developed that nobody can announce again and open an account with the same E-Mail address. This new (possible) account is however not automatically connected with @SMS. Your must change under the "Options" window in the account tab (with the [...]  key) the new values, which you have received from ASPSMS by E-Mail. Contact support@aspsms.com for any support inquiry about your account. ASPSMS may be able to trensfer the SMS credits from the unconnected account to the original @SMS account.

5. I get an error message with the registration and 0 SMS credits are indicated. I see only 0 credits. Why does I have to adapt the Firewall?
If you have a Firewall, and you may  must tcontact the system administrator  and/or the person, who can to configure the Firewall.  You can set under "options" in @SMS the transmission method on "XML-ASPSMS". The XML method is more tolerant to Firewalls. The "normal" COM-ASPSMS method is recommended bacause only with this option all functions of @SMS work.
The Firewall MUST permit OUTGOING data traffic to on Port 100. The component connects to one of the following 10 servers at random: snatch1.aspsms.com, snatch2.aspsms.com... snatch10.aspsms.com The listening port on our side is port 100, the port on the client side is selected at random. If you open the port 100, @SMS should work fine.

6. I would like to have the program on my laptop. I re-installed my computer and cannot activate the program, although I have the correct key.
As program @SMS behaves correctly, since copying it  on other computers is arbitrarily illegal. With a E-Mail at support (or via support form here) receive a file for the immediate reactivation of the license without additional inputs.
You can however  re-activate the license also manually under "Options":
If @SMS is un- installed istall it again an ignor the activation mask. You will receive the license information input mask that is usually now shown in the normal activation process. Please search the original e-Mail you received with the copy of the license keys (or ask at support@alphaobjects.ch )
The enter_
1. Gateway identification key (also as "SMS gateway key" designates)
2. Gateway password (also as "SMS gateway password" designates)
3. License key (also called "activation keys". That is that, which you received with the product as the first)
4. License numbers (also called "license keys". 3 groups of numbers, also in each case "-" into two parts sind).

Illegal copying: : Please you note the fact that we - as accepted at registration time -allow a backup copy, if  you announce and justify briefly to us. An excessive  duplication of the program and/or use of the same license on several computers can lead to the loss of your SMS credity without preliminary warning and refunding.

7. I have less credits, although I do not dispatch any SMS.
Possibly the E-Mail forwarding (with the pros version) runs on an unknown mobile phone number.  Control please also whether in the lower range of your "Windows" window (beside the clock) the @SMS icons of the E-Mail forwarding is active (respectable also calendar reminders). If you did not activate these consciously, you should close these via @SMS, by clicking the respective icons in @SMS menu and pressing "stop".

8. Why aren't my E-Mail's forwarded, if my PC is switched off?
We plan an off-line forwarding for Exchange server. For POP3 e-Mail unfortunately we cannot offer this, since we would need your passwords and personal data, in order to look during your absence into your e-Mail accounts. The computer shuold then switched on for keeping the E-Mail forwarding active.

9. I would like to receive also SMS as E-Mail. Why can't the recipients simply answer me?
That can be done have if you have a version @SMS Enterprise. Normally you need an SMS able number. This can be a mobile phone or a GSM hardware (this is not supported by @SMS) or rented virtuel number. @SMS Enterprise assigns a provisional number, but never the same. If you need always the same number  (e.g. in order to be always recognized) you can rent one. You can rent one it for approx.. 30€ in the month at http://www.at sms.com. This is not needed for @SMS enterprise users. This service is mainly included in these versions.

10. How can I use @SMS with® Microsoft terminal services?
principle the use of Office Add-in's is not easy  under terminal services. One can use however for most configurations this Workaround (Windows of 2000 servers):

  1. Install @SMS via ADD/Remove Programs

  2. Copy the Add-In directory (Userdir \ application data\Microsoft\AddIn ) of the Administrator to all Users\application data\Microsoft\Add In

  3. In the directorys of @SMS ( c:\program files\@sms personal outlook)
    register the  „CBP.DLL“ again:
    a) change user /install
    b) regsvr32 CBP.dll
    c) change user /execute

  4. Export  the registry key
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\OUTLOOK\Addins\AT_SMS_POP.Connect]
each @SMS cleint that imports this key can now use @SMS. Caution this is NOT the @SMS license registry key. You need an @SMS Enterprise to distribute the license keys to the users.

11. Must I have ADSL/T1/Cable? Can I use a ISDN or analog modem?
No. It is only recommended. You can go also use Cable modem, ISDN or similar to go on-line. Please note that you must be connected to the internet for the use of @SMS.

12. I un-installed the program, but the Icon/der Button of @SMS remains. How can I delete it?
@SMS un-installs all important Dlls and other components, which could disturb. The un-installation of the Outlook Icons is not done automatically. By right-clicking te icon on Outlook you can choose "sustomize to drag&drop the icon away."

13. My MMS receivers cannot see the pictures after downloading. The pictures disappeared.
The receiver must download the picture message before. He does this, by pressing on "Go to", "Download" or  "Ok" or something similar on its mobile phone. If the mobile phone does not accept MMS and (!) WAP-PUSH via GPRS, a picture message is not possible.

14. Do you support arabic characters?
Yes, we do. It's possible to encode all  arabic message with UCS2. We support also quiet all oriental characters.

15. Why the last 3 digits of the originator are replaced with XXX?
There are certain restrictions, if you would like to use numeric Originators (e.g. '+41791234567'). Numeric Originators only may be used if they were unlocked in advance with an Unlockcode. This Unlockcode will be sent to the corresponding mobilephone, which should be used as Originator.

Important: You only have to use the following dialog if you plan to use numeric Originators. If you use alphanumeric Originators (e.g. 'Party'), there are no restrictions. Please note that misuse in every case will be prosecuted according to terms of Civil and/or Criminal Law.

However, Originators of devices that are not capable to receive SMS (e.g. Fixnetnumbers) can't be unlocked automatically with this procedure. If you would like to use such a number, it's possible to unlock it manually. Please contact the support, if you need such an Originator.
